TAE Case for Change – my submission to PwC

TAE Case for Change – my submission to PwC

Today’s the day!

Today is the deadline for submissions to PwC’s Skills for Australia, in support of the case for change to the TAE Training Package.

I know the training and education industry is still recovering from the introduction of the TAE Training Package, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, in particular.  But I feel strongly that TAE40116 and other TAE qualifications could be a whole lot better.  So this morning I submitted my feedback.

I’d welcome your comments

I know I’ve waited until the ’11th hour’ to publish this, and I apologise, but competing deadlines… (you know the long list of excuses that comes next).

BUT… I’d welcome your comments about my submission, and am willing to adjust my feedback to reflect your input.  Since I have provided feedback using a Google Doc there is an opportunity over the next couple of days to update it.

What else you can do

If you are a TAE student or provider, I encourage you to let PwC’s skills for Australia ‘hear your voice’.  To do this:

Option 1:  email your own feedback to PwCs Skills for Australia

  1. read more about the type of feedback PwC is looking for, then
  2. email your feedback to PwC’s Skills for Australia.  Direct your email to info@skillsforaustralia.com

Option 2:  endorse points made in my submission

If you don’t have time to ‘drop everything and write your own feedback’, you could email me (chemene@blackwaterprojects.com.au) or email PwC’s Skills for Australia tell them which recommendations in my submission you agree with.

Option 3:  endorse points a colleague has made in their submission

If you have colleagues who have submitted feedback, ask them to read what they have submitted, then email PwC’s Skills for Australia and tell them which recommendations in their submission you agree with.
