Chemène is a learning, performance and development consultant who is passionate about quality learning and education. She has 30+ years’ experience working in diverse educational settings around the world and established her Australian consultancy—Blackwater Projects—in 2000.

  • Trainer’s trainer
    Chemène has worked with clients from corporate, government and community sectors, developing their skills and confidence as facilitators, assessors, presenters, and mentors.
  • Speaker
    Chemène is a regular speaker and Master of Ceremonies at conferences and special events, including EduTECH 2016 and 2017, Velg Training National VET Conference 2016, 2017 and 2018, and AITD 2014, 2016 and 2018.

    Chemène delivers an end-to-end service, working with clients to design, develop and facilitate tailored accredited and non-accredited learning experiences that are relevant, engaging and get results.
  • Retail learning and assessment materials
    Chemène has produced a suite of learning and assessment materials covering the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. More than 100 training organisations have purchased these to date.
  • Foundation skills – language, literacy, numeracy and core skills needed for the modern workplace
    In recent years Chemène has turned her focus to foundation skills. She teamed up with literacy expert Ann Leske to form LLN and VET Meeting Place – a website that offers information and resources to help educators build foundation skills through their teaching and training practice. Ann and Chemène regularly speak about foundation skills in webinars, workshops and conference presentations.
  • An Olympian, Chemène coaches elite sportspeople in media, presentation and personal effectiveness skills, and announces at major sport events, including the Olympic Games and World Championships.
